I want to install a charging station for domestic use, is a power increase required?
With the home power normally available (3kW) it is not possible to achieve an effective charging system for electric vehicles. It is necessary to raise the threshold to at least 4.5 kW to avoid overloads in the domestic network.
What do I need to install on my electrical system and what equipment do I need to charge my car from home?
At least the following components are required for safe charging:

Do I choose the model with the cable or with the plug?
If the device is private and you already know which car you want to charge, you will choose the model with the cable and the connector which is much more practical to use. If, on the other hand, the device is aimed at the public, you will choose the model with the socket, to allow all vehicles (including the few with the type 1 socket) to charge.
How long does it take to recharge?
The charging speed depends on two main factors: the output power (kW) with which it is charged and the maximum power accepted by the vehicle's internal charger. If the two values are different, the lower of the two shall prevail.
For example: a 7 kW charger and an electric car with a max 3.4 kW internal charger: the recharge will still be at 3.4 kW; on the other hand, if the charger delivers 3.7 kW although the car has a max 7 kW internal charger, the recharge will be at 3.4 kW.
